It is a lot of fun to return after many years. This was also the case on 1 July 2023 in Brest Kujawski. At the invitation of the Brest Centre for Culture and History ‘Wahadło’, we participated in the 20th Jubilee Brest Street Theatre Meetings, where we showed a performance entitled ‘Ukraine. Shevchenko’s Will”. This year’s presence in this town located at the edge of the Greater Poland Lake District, brought back an invitation from Ms Agata Kubajka – the director of the BCK to present our street theatre performance entitled. “To meet Prospero”, which on 12 July 2014 on Wladyslaw Lokietek Square gathered huge crowds of Brest Kujawski residents. Currently, the Brest Cultural Centre “Wahadło” has an impressive facility with a mini amphitheatre and an adjacent car park. This infrastructure greatly assisted the organisers, headed by Łukasz Jędrzejczak of Theatre on Suitcases and gramOFFon’s programme director Sylwia Czerwińska-Modrzejewska, who collaborated with us years ago on a theatre festival she organised in nearby Włocławek, to create an attractive programme for this year’s event. We were very pleased to be able to participate in the world of theatre, and the kind help of the BCK team, headed by the head of the production team, Mr Wojciech Łukaszewski, made it possible for the performance to be realised smoothly. The exceptionally thunderous applause of the audience rewarded everyone for the hardships of preparing and staging the performance. GramOFFon – THANK YOU!
