On September 13, 2024, as part of the Saturator Theater Festival in Garwolin, we staged an outdoor interpretation of Karol Wojtyla’s poem based on the biblical story of Job. Job, the later pope wrote in 1940 identifying the main character with Poland suffering after the 1939 German invasion. Today, at a time of tragic events caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine, the show takes on the special character of a mystery of suffering ending in Job’s victory: And the Lord restored to Job all his possessions….
The show was shown thanks to the invitation of the Mazovian Institute of Culture in Warsaw and the Sports and Culture Center in Garwolin.
